Sorry for the short-ish post. I've been crazily busy away at a pile of work I have to get done in the next week or so, so as I said before, don't expect a lot of post-age.

I'm currently in a love affair with this trailer for Revolutionary Road. I haven't seen the movie, although it looks so lovely and well done. It's the first time Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are in a movie together since Titanic, so it sounds pretty epic. Anyone seen it yet? Loved it? Hated it? Thought it was okay? Post your opinions in a comment. I'd love to hear your viewpoints on the movie.

Also, there has been quite a bit of confusion of what exactly the Google ads are. They are in a gray-ish box located on the side bar somewhere amongst the plethora of pictures. They're not too hard to find...I think...Again, if you have problems, just leave a comment and I will try to direct you further.

Mis 22 meses

Hoy mi príncipe llega a sus 22 meses, cada vez me sorprendo más de cómo vuela el tiempo, pues parece que fue ayer cuando llegó a nuestras vidas aquel ser pequeñito que ahora nos deleita con su dulzura y también sus travesuras al intentar explorar el mundo que tiene frente a él.

Baby center indica que para ahora el niño ha empezado a establecerse objetivos. Tiene ideas propias acerca de lo que quiere, cómo hay que empujar su auto de juguete por un camino o ajustar las piezas de un rompecabezas. También le importan los resultados. Vemos que está contento cuando tiene éxito y frustrado cuando no lo tiene. Todo es parte de su incipiente independencia.

Es importante tener en cuenta que "nuestro pequeño explorador" ya cuenta con habilidades motrices como para acceder a lugares de la casa que pueden contener objetos o productos peligrosos.

Estos son algunos consejos para prevenir algunos accidentes en el hogar, señalados por Planeta Mamá:

• Mantenga fuera de su alcance objetos filosos, cortantes, punzantes, vidrios, herramientas.
• No permita que se pongan lápices o lapiceras en la boca mientras dibujan o colorean.
• Coloque protectores en las esquinas de las mesas y evite que se interpongan al paso.
• Fije a la pared bibliotecas y otros muebles asegurando su estabilidad..
• Impida que los niños manipulen sillas o reposeras plegables.
• En ascensores, aléjelos de las puertas, evite que se muevan en su interior y nunca permita que los utilicen solos o que abran o cierren sus puertas.

Soy una mujer aficionada al crochet y he creado este blog para exponer mis trabajos.
Poquito a poco ire añadiendo esquemas de lo que vaya haciendo, auque haya cosillas que han sido de cosecha propia, y no tenga nada escrito al respecto.Tambien tengo algo de punto de cruz donde he echo mis pinitos,no tengo mucha idea pero hace mas el que quiere que el que puede.

El nuevo amigo de mi nene

Como había contado anteriormente, mi peque era fanático de Elmo, pero...... al parecer lo ha traicionado. Con quién? con Pablo! Es que al nene le encanta ver el programa de los Backyardigans , no se lo pierde y disfruta mucho bailando con sus canciones. Así que cuando fuimos a comprar sus regalos de Navidad a la Juguetería, se enamoró del muñeco: él solito lo escogió y su abuelita Carmen (mi mami) le dió el gusto. Ahora no lo suelta para nada, adora a su muñequito: lo abraza y lo besa. Incluso cuando salimos, Mateito toma su Pablo, lo abraza, hace chao y se adelanta a la puerta.

Me gusta verle esa carita de dulzura junto a su nuevo amigo, se lo ve tan lindo a mi príncipe!

Sorry for my lack of posting. I've been extremely busy and will probably be until two weeks from now, so until then, the posts will become more sparse and spaced out.

EDIT: Please keep clicking on the ugly Google ads, my darlings, even though I know they're annoying. I'm hoping if I can make a good amount of money, this could balance out my excessive spending, but I can't without your lovely help!

En familia: Parte III

Luego de año nuevo nos fuimos de paseo al río, es que con tanto calor que hace necesitábamos de urgencia darnos una refrescadita. Mi príncipe estuvo encantadísmo con el agua y no quería salir pese a que sus labios ya se estaban poniendo morados, así que hubo que sacarlo a la fuerza aunque llore.

Aprovechando que teníamos tiempo, nos dimos una vueltita por el parque del sitio, en el cual hay juegos infantiles y Mateito se dió gusto en las resbaladeras, corría de acá para allá y pedía a sus primos que lo suban.

Este fue el último paseo con mi tía y mis primos ya que en la noche regresaron a Quito. Todos nos quedamos muy tristes porque de aquí pasará algún tiempo para volver a estar reunidos nuevamente. De todas maneras nos queda la satisfacción de haber compartido varios momentos lindos en familia.
