Little treasures ♥

Little treasures ♥
Little treasures ♥
Little treasures ♥
1. Gifts from Tamar
2. Framed butterflies from Chinatown
3. Vintage French book about painting that's sadly falling apart (probably going to take the cover off and frame it for my wall or something)
4. Pretty Polaroid notes

Just some miscellaneous little treasures I've added to my collection.

My mom leaves for Florida early tomorrow morning (to visit her mom). I'm going to miss her. A lot (i miss her already and she hasn't even left yet). BUT I'm sure my dad and I will come up with something special to do - just the two of us - in the meantime... As a side note, my mom pre-made my dad and me meals so that we wouldn't go starving come dinnertime. Moms are the best ♥.

PS. Thanks for your sweet comments on this post. I'm definitely feeling less stressed than last week, especially after the long weekend. Just gotta take one day at a time. But that's life for you, eh? :)

Hello sweet thing.

Cooking has never really been my cup of tea (although i will go into a baking marathon every now and then), but what does that matter? I still want this pretty kitchen.

Artwork for my room.

Artwork for my room.
I'll admit it: (and i'm ashamed to say...) my walls are bare. Bland, boring, blah, bare. And they have been bare since I painted them last October. In another life, I'd be a good enough illustrator/have enough time to make original artwork specifically for my room. But I'm not. So over the weekend, I started putting together a collection of artwork I'd love to use to decorate my room. I think I need to get on 'Project Decorate Room' pronto. Do you have any favorite artists? Do share!

I cannot express to you how much I love (and need) this banner for my room. I only remind myself this oh, about a million and three times a day ;)

Project room.

Project room.
I started decorating my bedroom walls a litttttllle bit over the weekend (i've had bare walls since i repainted my room in october! eek!). So far I've hung some book pages from vintage books (who suffered for the cause) over my bed a la this bedroom. I'm also contemplating somehow draping a garland around the pages so it doesn't look so plain with the pages hanging on the wall all by themselves. Other than that, I have a few pictures that need to be hung... just have to figure out where/how I want to place them. Shoot me with your best ideas!

And once again, the Internet has bombarded me with possible contenders for my future home. This one reminds me of Jane Eyre...

What is it about breakfast and beds that makes them so photogenic? I don't know, but that's why I love Les Matins Verts. Les Matins Verts is a new Tumblr "Of indoor plants, breakfast, cozy domesticity and gentle morning light." Oh mornings, you are my fave.

Pink house.

Pink house.
I blogged about the photo shoot I did at this house back in June and FINALLY got the rest of the film from that day developed last week. Don't get too excited... it's just pictures of the house by itself, no model, nothing fancy. I am completely fascinated by this little pink house. You have no idea how bad I want to see what the inside looks like.

I made the mistake of looking up dollhouses on Etsy yesterday (who knew there were so many on the market?!). And now I'm sharing my findings with you! When I was little, I desperately wanted a dollhouse (still do, actually). Add that to the list of living in a tree house and owning my own cupcake shop. Someday, someday...

Quail Country Antiques

I cannot tell you how many times I've driven by this little antique shop, Quail Country Antiques, without giving it a second thought. A few weeks ago, under some sort of epiphany, Mom and I decided to stop by and check it out. Man oh man am I glad we did. Furniture + knick knacks + books galore. My mom reminisced about all the childhood toys she got rid of that are now valuable, while I snapped away and caressed everything in sight.
