silence.

Silence evokes beauty.
Silence, you are all alone.
You dare not take a breath, for fear of disturbing the wave of peacefulness,
Of unadulterated delight.
Silent sighs tingling the insides of your heart.
Close your eyes and listen.
Can you hear it?
Can you hear it bouncing off the picture frames here in this lonely room?
Silence, as loud as ever, racing through your veins,
Reverberating against the broken radiators propped precariously against the yellowing walls.
The sweet, soundless noise tucking you in bed at night,
Fluttering over your dreams at early dawn.
Stop and listen,
Just listen.
Can you hear it echoing the hollow walls?
Can you hear the silence?
~My words, photos from Betsey, owner of one of the beautiful blogs that got me interested in blogging.

I have received a blog award from Linnea. I've received it before, but I'm still very honored, nonetheless.

I'll pass it on to:

Who watched the Grammy's last night? I did not; instead I settled on my couch with my Ben and Jerry's and watched To Kill A Mockingbird for the millionth time, approximately-so much better. But, of course with the Grammy's or any formal televised affair, comes the outfit analysis. While perusing through photo after photo of the best and worst dressed, I came upon this:

Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift arrive at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center on February 8, 2009, in Los Angeles.Kevin Mazur/WireImage.com - Monday, February, 9, 2009, 12:9 AM

I absolutely love Taylor Swift (Please ignore Miley Cyrus. I am refraining from launching into a multi-paragraph speech of reasons for my despising that girl.) I'm not particularly fond of her music, but she looks so chic and beautiful with her updo and her eyes are gorgeous. Do you agree? Maybe it's just me, but I think narrow eyes on blonde-haired people looks so pretty.

Happy Monday! (I think I just made an oxy-moron) How was your weekend, my lovelies? I hope it was filled with laughter and friends. Mine certainly was. Do anything fun? Travel out of town? Stay at home to relax? I'd love to hear how all your weekends were.

My weekend was spent...

...Wishing I had a room like this...

...With a little reading nook like this...

...In a cottage like this...

...In the woods like this
