Hawaii, days one and two

Hawaii, days one and twoHello, or should I say aloha? Okay, so was that an incredibly cheesy way to start off a post or what? ;)Today was our first full day in Maui.

As I write this post, I am happily gorging myself on pineapple in our air-conditioned hotel room. I only wish I had a non-glare computer screen so I could write this post by the pool, but hey, life ain’t bad. Today we drove the Road to Hana. We did so much on the drive (like went to the beach and hiked to a waterfall), but now that I’m actually sitting down and writing this post, it’s a bit overwhelming trying to describe it all, so I’ll let these pictures and captions speak for themselves. I took a bunch of film pictures too, but I’ll have to wait till we get home to get them developed.Hawaii, days one and twoExploring the beach.Hawaii, days one and twoHawaii, days one and twoHawaii, days one and twoDay one’s sunset.Hawaii, days one and twoDriving the Road to Hana.Hawaii, days one and twoHawaii, days one and twoHawaii, days one and twoHawaii, days one and twoHawaii, days one and twoHawaii, days one and twoOn the drive back, we stopped by this quaint town called Paia, where we had lunch at a place called Café Mambo. This picture cracks me up. I love my dad’s expression in this photo. Also, sitting next to my dad really enhances how pasty white I am. I’m not sure what we have planned tomorrow. Some possible candidates for activities are horseback riding or going to the upcountry. Any thoughts on either? Anyway, I’ve run out of things to say, so that’s your update for now!
